Ko je imela 30 let, se je Natalie Jill ločila od moža, spakirala stvari in z otrokom začela novo življenje. Tedaj je bila osamljena in imela je precej odvečne teže. Ker je po izobrazbi nutricionistka, je vedela, da mora nekaj spremeniti, da bi postala bolj zdrava, ne le postavna. Začela je uživati več naravno pridelanih živil in telovaditi, sprva le 15 minut dnevno.

“Počutila sem se staro, duševno zlomljeno, predebelo in bila sem depresivna. Vrat sem imela debel, obraz zabuhel, stegna so se mi drgnila med hojo. Ves čas sem bila zoprna in sovražno razpoložena,”

iskreno izpove Natalie, ki je danes videti boljše, kot marsikatera 20-letnica.

Ko je začela telovaditi, se je njeno telo začelo hitro spreminjati, izgubila je odvečno težo. Ko je opazila te spremembe, je pustila službo, ki je ni izpolnjevala in se posvetila treningom. Sčasoma je svoje telo izklesala do popolnosti. Pri 39-ih je postala fitnes model in se pojavila na več naslovnicah revij, posvečenih zdravemu slogu življenja in telovadbi.

Ko ženska vstopi v menopavzo, se začne nalagati maščoba na telesu predvsem v predelu trebuha in stegen. Presnova se upočasni, počutimo se utrujene, iztrošene, postarane. A vse to se lahko spremeni. Natalie priporoča, da nehajmo razmišljati o hrani kot o viru užitka in naj ne živimo zato, da bi jedli, pač pa jejmo, da bi živeli.

Talk to me! What questions do you ask yourself daily? You see, change and results come from the questions we ask ourselves and others. If you want different outcomes, ask different questions. Three questions I made it a habit of asking myself daily that have changed my results are… – QUESTION 1: Am I stuck in an excuse and looking for validation as to why that excuse is fact or am I looking for a SOLUTION? – We ALL have excuses- but what do we do with them? Do we look for evidence to validate why our excuse is true? Do we google why our excuse is valid and common? And if we do why? I’ll tell you why- because it feels good in the MOMENT to be validated. But warning, that’s takes away ANY HOPE for improvement and possibility of a better life. Instead validate the opposite. – QUESTION 2: Who do I need to BE today to create the results I’m after. – I ask myself how my future self (the goal) make decisions? How does my future self (who I want to step into) spend her time? How does SHE behave? How does SHE show up? How does SHE operate? How does SHE eat? – Question number 3: Is THIS moving me closer to my goals or further away. – This last question above is the magic one. When you get in the habit of asking yourself that then priorities change, time management gets easier and clarity takes over. – Excuses or solutions? Who do you need to be?
